Steam Chamber is a secret basement that the player can enter through Brimber City. The first time the player visits the city, the entrance is blocked by a gigantic rock that cannot be destroyed until the player progresses to Port Decca and finishes a small side quest. Mythical Pokémon Volcanion, which is the final Legendary or Mythical Pokémon to be related to volcanoes after Groudon and Heatran, resides in this secret basement.
Description
Once the player enters, climb down flights of stairs until the player reaches the main area. The area has multiple cracks on the walls and the floor with steam coming out of them, as well as red crystals spread everywhere, pillars scattered around, and a gigantic pool of lava in a small chasm with a broken bridge.
There is a door up ahead which the player is able to go through and see Volcanion in the distance. To get over there, the player must find a small opening to the left near the bridge and follow the path down until he or she bypasses the chasm. There is water seen around the area when the player follows the path. As soon as the player gets to the other side, the player will be able to enter through the door and encounter Volcanion.
Notable Events
Catching Volcanion
The player can see Volcanion from the opposite side of the chasm and must follow a long path in order to reach it. Once the player clicks on Volcanion, it will give out a loud roar, and the battle will commence. Players only have 1 chance to catch it, so save beforehand and turn off the Autosave function. As Volcanion is very hard to catch, shows up deep in a volcano and has Water as its secondary type, it is recommended to stock up on Dusk and Net Balls in Poké Ball Emporium, Anthian City - Shopping District beforehand.

Wild Pokémon
Note: Rarity levels are estimations according to this scale and might be subject to changes due to different encounter assessment results, unless supported by official encounter rates, which are listed in red under the rarity level if known. If there are any Pokémon with low catch rates, the possibility to flee or requirement of gaining happiness to evolve, recommended Poké Balls for that Pokémon will be shown with the corresponding bag sprite under the Pokémon's name.

Trivia
- There is water inside the volcano, which defies logic. However, it is likely that this represents how Volcanion can use both fire and water to its advantage.
