Rock type is one of the 18 Pokémon elemental types. Rock-type Pokémon mostly have high Physical Defense, but are slow and have low Special Defense. Combining with the fact that many Rock-type Pokémon have Ground as secondary type, making them take quadruple damage from both Water-type and Grass-type attacks, Pokémon that belong to either of these 2 types can make short work of Rock-type Pokémon. All Fossil Pokémon belong to this type.
