Path of Truth is a long underground chamber accessed by using HM3 Surf on Route 7. The floor is littered with skeletons. Despite being a cave, no Rock-type or Ground-type Pokémon can be found. Only a few species of Dragon-type Pokémon inhabit this place. While the main, lower passage continues deeper in, there is also an upper path that leads back to a secret podium on Route 7.
Notable Places
Black and White Pedestal
The main passage of this cave ends up in a fork eventually. The right path leads to a dead-end with a Dragon Fang to pick up. The left path, though, contains a slope that requires HM8 Rock Climb. When the slope is climbed, and the player walks along for a while, and the path will lead to a large pool with planks leading across it, forming a bridge. If the player crosses the bridge, there will be large piles of golden coins surrounding a pedestal. The pedestal has an upright rectangle on it, with a diagonal line dividing it into 2 different colours: black and white, hinting to be Legendary or Mythical encounters later on.
Pokémon
Note: Rarity levels are estimations according to this scale and might be subject to changes due to different encounter assessment results, unless supported by official encounter rates, which are listed in red under the rarity level if known. If there are any Pokémon with low catch rates, the possibility to flee or requirement of gaining happiness to evolve, recommended Poké Balls for that Pokémon will be shown with the corresponding bag sprite under the Pokémon's name.
