Previously the most prosperous and the busiest part of Aredia City centuries ago, Old Aredia is now an abandoned part of the former Roria capital.
The king's ruined castle is located further into this place, where Prince Ryan pays numerous visits to honour his ancestors. Although much of its artifacts and treasures have been lost to time, it is rumoured that a powerful and ancient Pokémon is within the depths of its ruins.
Notable Places
Broken Podiums
Upon entering Old Aredia from the gate towards Aredia City, an old, mostly broken building is in front of the player, just past the first patch of deep sand on the upper level of this place. 3 passages can be used to pass through this building, but Thief Thomas and Survivalist Sanders are both waiting to ambush the player in the middle and right paths, so the player should be prepared for some battling. There are some rocks forming staircases behind the building to access the podiums, with the left one containing Soft Sand for the player to pick up.
The Castle — Aredia Ruins
Heading deeper inside will lead the player down a slope, and the Ruined Castle — now known as Aredia Ruins, can be seen past the second patch of deep sand. Adventurer Samson serves as the last trainer match before the player can enter the castle. Be warned that, once the player heads inside Aredia Ruins, he or she will be immediately caught up in a cutscene and have to fight in consecutive battles!
Pokémon
Note: Rarity levels are estimations according to this scale and might be subject to changes due to different encounter assessment results, unless supported by official encounter rates, which are listed in red under the rarity level if known. If there are any Pokémon with low catch rates, the possibility to flee or requirement of gaining happiness to evolve, recommended Poké Balls for that Pokémon will be shown with the corresponding bag sprite under the Pokémon's name.
