Hero's Hoverboards is a developer's chain store in Roria that sells hoverboards, which act as more modern replacements of bicycles from the core series Pokémon games, enabling players to travel significantly faster than walking or running. It is run by one of the main developers Our_Hero. The main store in Anthian City - Shopping District was opened on 9th March, 2017, while a new branch was opened in Port Decca on 23rd June, 2017 that sells different boards from its Anthian counterpart.

Instructions

To equip a hoverboard when playing on a computer, press R, and then use the WASD keys to manoeuvre. The arrow keys do not work on steering the hoverboard. On mobile, players can tap the walk/run button until they hover. Players can then steer normally with the virtual pad.

Basic Collection

The 8 Basic Hoverboards with the shop owner Our_Hero behind the cashier.

8 colours of Basic Hoverboards are on display behind the cashier in both stores. They can be taken and switched for free upon talking to shop owner Our_Hero. Every hoverboard within this collection has a single coloration, hence the "Basic" title. Nevertheless, all of them are still noticeably quicker than sprinting.

Deluxe Collection

Hoverboards with individualized looks are on display further inside the shops. These are the Deluxe Hoverboards. In addition to their unique designs, they are also slightly faster than the Basic Boards. Each of these hoverboards cost 50 Robux, but players can freely switch between any Deluxe Boards they have already purchased. However, hoverboard purchases do not save between different Game Modes or save files.

12 unique hoverboards can be bought here. Originally there were only 8, but Green and Purple Laserboards, as well as Heart Attack and Rainbow Ride, have been added on 15th April, 2017.

9 other Deluxe Hoverboards are on display in the Port Decca store. Several of the boards sold here have special animations or effects, such as the Rotom Board's sparks.

Trivia

• A Hover Park has been added on Lagoona Lake the same time when the Anthian Main Store was opened. Players need to hop over a a flyover within the park using a hoverboard in order to fetch a TM.
• Developer Hoboj03 — the creator for some of the Deluxe Hoverboards, as well as the shop owner of Hobo's Lucky Lotto, stated that the Watermelon Hoverboard was not meant to be published in the game in a serious manner. However, the Watermelon Hoverboard is available for purchase.
• The development team organized a poll on what they would work on next before starting to build Frostveil City. Surprisingly, the addition of Hoverboards beat the other choices, including Tag Battles and Apartments.
• The player is told in-game that new hoverboards are shipped to the Decca Branch before being transported to the main store, although neither store's inventory has changed since the Port Decca update.
